Synthetic upper
We’ve got a full synthetic upper with a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable membrane.
The upper of this shoe is constructed with all synthetic materials, so you’ve got a really durable abrasion resistant textile underneath a durable overlay.
That Gore-Tex is going to give you confident weather protection all the way up till about that last eyelet where the gusseted tongue cuts off.
Waterproof
So, we’ve got really nice and confident weather protection there. We’ve got some synthetic overlay there to provide some extra style and also structure to the boot.
Those textiles are extremely water resistant and abrasion resistant as well. To complete that waterproofness, there is a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable bootie throughout the entire shoe.
It’s going to provide a little bit of extra support and structure and also prevent any lateral shifting. It’ll also stiffen up the shoe just a little bit.
Also, you’ll have that confident waterproof protection throughout the shoe.
Stability
You’ve got a nice heel counter. It has a durable heel counter to really keep you stable and in place and a lightweight rubber protective toe.
It’ll give you some extra protection if you kick up against any rocks or roots. Nice and simple construction on the upper of the boot.
Speed Lacing
We’ve also got Adidas speed lacing system so that makes it really simple and quick to lace these boots up, get them nice and tight and be on your way.
It’s also really simple and easy to loosen as well. Really durable speed lacing system from Adidas. It does have a convenient little bungee to tuck away those laces.
If you have a low-volume foot and you end up with more lace and you worried about getting tripped up on it, you’ve got a bungee there that’ll help hold that in place.
It’s just an added convenience which is a pretty nice feature there.
Midsole
Moving down to the midsole, we’ve got the Adiprene midsole. It’s a nice lightweight cushioned midsole that’s going to provide shock absorption and propulsion.
It’s kind of a one-piece throughout the entire midsole that’s going to provide that shock absorption, resistance, and rebound.
It’ll help keep you moving fast on the trail. An excellent Adiprene midsole in the boot. Really good comfort throughout the midsole of the shoe.
Sock Liner
There is an included sock liner. It’ll keep your feet cool. It’s removable. It is a pretty low profile. So, you can put an aftermarket insole inside the shoe or a custom orthotic if you have it.
It’s the added convenience there. You can take that internal liner out and replace it.
Outsole
Down to the outsole we’ve got a traction outsole. It’s the Adidas traction outsole. It’s really a tooth and lugged outsole there to provide excellent grip on the wet or dry terrain.
It is a pretty aggressive outsole. You’ve got a lot of multi-directional lugs here and when not on trail surfaces they are relatively flat.
So, you can access roads or paved surfaces with ease with this shoe. It won’t feel clunky or clumsy at all. It does have that relatively low profile high friction outsole.
Heel Brake
In the heel we’ve got a really nice aggressive heel brake so when you need to stop, it’ll help grip the trail and let you stop on a dime. So, they have really nice grippy outsole on the boot.
Not only is it a reinforced, really beefy, cushioned heel, but you’ve also got the extra aggressive braking portion.
When you’re trying to stop, or you’re going the opposite way maybe downhill, that’s really going to help to dig into the trail.
It’ll bite down hard and prevent you from slipping potentially. So, just some added benefits to that outsole.
Conclusion
Overall, these are pretty flexible nimble and lightweight boot giving confident weather protection and lightweight support. It’s a very simple shoe. It’s sleek, athletic and well-designed.
You’ve got reinforcements where you need it and cushion where you want it and fully waterproof performance.
