The Carolina CA7003 is an American made Moc-toe Wedge sole work boot. Right off the bat, I’ve to say; these boots are beautiful. They are incredibly stiff and tough and take some time getting used to, but it’s worth it, and you’ll be glad that you spent a little more to get quality.
These are the type of boot that you’ll be able to wear on your Achilles. Too many “cheap” boots out there that look like them, and it’s best to get them from a reputed brand like Carolina.
Keep in mind that there is a learning curve with these boots. If you are the type of person that never tried out a heavy boot with thick sole before, don’t expect comfort right out of the box. These are not gym shoes; they are hard-core rock-solid boots.
If you are willing to put in the time, they will break-in and form a bond with your feet. You can expect to wear them six days a week like your raw denim. Working is never fun, and this pair won’t make turn your 9 – 5 job into a fun one, but it will be easier with them on.

This Carolina moc toe wedge boot is just like the rest of the wedge boots that Carolina makes. Extremely comfortable, extremely well made and it’s hard to find any flaws in it. That being said, let’s break down this one and see what makes this Carolina moc toe so great.
Leather Welt Construction
With it being completely sowed down welt with that double stitching sow down welt, the mock toe gives you more room in your pinky and your big toe.
Because of the mock toe, the Carolina CA7003 flattens out the top, and it allows your toes to kind of spread out making for a more comfortable square fit.
Because this boot has got Meramec Raptor polyurethane outsole, you will get tp traction over any surface.
High-Quality Materials
When it comes to Carolina moc toe work boots, they cut no corners when it comes to materials. Using this beautiful long wearing wedge sole, I’ve seen guys get a lot of life out of this wedge sole.
The leather is phenomenal. You can push that oil right out of the leather, that’s how soft that leather is.
The beautiful glove leather collar, this just makes this Carolina moc toe boot so comfortable when you really crank this thing up, and you get it around your ankle.
Having that glove leather up there, man that’s like a dream. The leather uppers are for durability, and they’re also rated for electrical hazards.
Laces & Hardware
Carolina uses that you know, ok laces; ok hardware. There’s nothing to write home about; it’s nothing that’s got any you know embellishments on it or anything.
Made In USA
One touch that Carolina does very nicely is they added this made in USA lace saver. And they also added a little made in USA flag right underneath the front.
Inside The Boots
Now when you go deep inside the guts and the bones of this boot, what you’re going to find is you’re going to find that Carolina uses a really soft insole.
The AG7TM polyurethane insole cushions your feet for all-day comfort. Don’t think that Carolina forgot about comfort.
It bounces. It’s beautiful. It’s one of like Carolina’s own designs. It’s a great insole. But inside the boot, you still have a whole another footbed — something that’s really soft.
So, if you’re one of those guys who has to pull that insole out and put in a supportive orthotic that you’ve gotten from the podiatrist, you know, this boot is not a bad idea.
There’s something underneath. You’re still going to get the cushion of the insole that’s built-in, the outsole and just a soft construction of the boot. From chores in the backyard to the construction site, it’s perfect for every occasion.
Get A Genuine Moc Toe Boot
Now, when it comes to Mach toe wedge sole boots, especially in the 6-inch variety, right now the market is flooded with all the brands.
So, what you’re really looking for now is the most comfortable fit and whichever one’s going to be the easiest in your pocket.
